Hesap yok, kayıt yok, analitik yok, reklam yok, çökme bildirimi yok. Konumunuz cihazdan çıkmıyor. Saklanan tek şey, ücretsiz rotalarınızı sayabilmek için uygulamanın ürettiği rastgele bir numara.
Konum
Uygulamanın tek işi, yol kenarındaki bir noktadan geçerken o noktanın anlatısını başlatmak. Bunu yapabilmek için konumunuzu okuması gerekiyor.
- Konum yalnızca cihazınızda işlenir. Hiçbir sunucuya gönderilmez, kaydedilmez, kimseyle paylaşılmaz.
- Ekran kapalıyken de anlatı çalabilsin diye arka planda konum izni istenir. İzin istenmeden önce nedeni ekranda açıkça yazılır; izni vermemeyi seçerseniz uygulama rotayı simülasyon kipinde yine gösterir.
- İzni dilediğiniz an işletim sistemi ayarlarından geri alabilirsiniz.
Cihazda saklananlar
- Dil, ses ve indirme tercihleriniz.
- Hangi anlatıları dinlediğiniz — aynı anlatıyı iki kez çalmamak için.
- İndirdiğiniz ses dosyaları.
Bunların hepsi uygulamanın kendi alanında durur ve uygulamayı sildiğinizde silinir.
İnternete çıkan istekler
Uygulama üç yere istek atar:
- Erişim servisi — satın aldığınız rotaların sesine ulaşabilmek için. Bu isteğe iki şey gider: Apple'ın imzaladığı satın alma belgeniz ve uygulamanın ürettiği rastgele bir numara. Servis belgeyi doğrulayıp atar, saklamaz. Rastgele numarayı ise saklar; ücretsiz üç rotanızdan hangilerini açtığınız ona bağlı tutulur, yoksa uygulamayı her silip kurduğunuzda üç hak daha kazanırdınız. Bu numara adınızı, e-postanızı ya da Apple hesabınızı içermez; başka hiçbir bilgiyle ilişkilendirilmez.
- Ses dosyaları —
storage.googleapis.comüzerinden, erişim servisinin verdiği on beş dakikalık imzalı adreslerle indirilir. İstek hesap ya da kimlik taşımaz. - Harita karoları — OpenStreetMap sunucularından (
tile.openstreetmap.org) çekilir. Harita verisi OpenStreetMap katkıcılarına aittir (ODbL).
Konumunuz bu isteklerin hiçbirine girmez. Hangi rotayı indirdiğiniz servise görünür; nerede olduğunuz görünmez.
Her internet isteğinde olduğu gibi bu isteklerde de cihazınızın IP adresi karşı sunucuya görünür; bu, isteğin kendisinin teknik bir gereğidir. Biz bu adresleri toplamıyor, saklamıyor ve ilişkilendirmiyoruz. Karo isteklerinde OpenStreetMap Foundation'ın kendi gizlilik politikası geçerlidir.
Cihazın kendi sesi
Bir anlatının indirilmiş sesi yoksa, metin cihazınızın işletim sistemindeki konuşma motoruna verilir. Bu motor uygulamanın parçası değildir; bazı Android cihazlarda metni bulutta işleyebilir. Hangi motorun kullanıldığı ve nasıl çalıştığı cihaz ayarlarınıza bağlıdır.
Çocuklar
Uygulama çocuklara yönelik değildir ve çocuklardan veri toplamaz.
Değişiklikler
Bu metin değişirse tarihi güncellenir ve yeni sürüm aynı adreste yayımlanır.
Destek
Bir rota inmiyor, anlatı başlamıyor ya da bir yer yanlış anlatılmış gibi görünüyorsa yazın. Hangi rotada ve nerede olduğunuzu belirtmeniz yeter; genellikle aynı gün dönüş yapılır.
Satın aldığınız rotaları yeni bir telefonda geri getirmek için uygulamada Ayarlar → Satın alımları geri yükle düğmesini kullanın.
No accounts, no sign-up, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting. Your location never leaves your device. The only thing kept is a random number the app generates, so that your free routes can be counted.
Location
The app exists to start a story exactly as you pass the place it is about. To do that it has to read your location.
- Location is processed on your device only. It is never sent to any server, never stored remotely, never shared.
- Background location permission is requested so that stories can play with the screen off. The reason is shown on screen before the system dialog appears; if you decline, the app still lets you play a route in simulation mode.
- You can withdraw the permission at any time in your system settings.
Stored on the device
- Your language, voice and download preferences.
- Which stories you have heard, so the same story is not played twice.
- The audio files you have downloaded.
All of it stays in the app's own storage and is deleted when you delete the app.
Outbound requests
The app contacts three places:
- The access service, so that the audio of the routes you bought can be reached. Two things go with that request: your purchase receipt, signed by Apple, and a random number the app generates. The service verifies the receipt and discards it. It does keep the random number: which of your three free routes you opened is held against it, otherwise you would earn three more every time you reinstalled the app. That number contains no name, no email address and no Apple Account, and is linked to nothing else.
- Audio files are downloaded from
storage.googleapis.comusing fifteen-minute signed links issued by the access service. The request carries no account or identity. - Map tiles are fetched from OpenStreetMap servers (
tile.openstreetmap.org). Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors (ODbL).
Your location goes into none of these requests. The service can see which route you downloaded; it cannot see where you are.
As with any internet request, your device's IP address is visible to the receiving server; that is a technical necessity of the request itself. We do not collect, store or correlate those addresses. For tile requests, the OpenStreetMap Foundation's own privacy policy applies.
The device's own voice
If a story has no downloaded audio, its text is handed to your operating system's speech engine. That engine is not part of the app and on some Android devices may process the text in the cloud. Which engine is used, and how it works, depends on your device settings.
Children
The app is not directed at children and collects no data from children.
Changes
If this text changes, the date is updated and the new version is published at the same address.
Support
Write if a route will not download, a story does not start, or a place looks wrong in the text. Say which route and where you were; you will usually get an answer the same day.
To bring routes you bought back on a new phone, use Settings → Restore purchases in the app.
